23rd-Aug-2010 10:38 am - Anna's white and lavendar gown
yu, love
Suriana's wedding was going to be overseas, and like many others, she wanted a gown which was light enough to transport, something that she cold possibly wear again. She tried on a gown of mine "peaches and cream", I call it, because it's a gown made out of peach and gream silk georgette. But she wanted it more simple, so I tweaked it and the outcome was really lovely too. Some pictures she sent me:

I met Caroline almost a year before her wedding, she was working in Taiwan then, so her gown process started early. Together, we picked Caroline's lace along with her bridesmaids, it was a lovey Valentino french lace. The silhouette was classic and suit her just fine.

As for the bridesmaids, Caroline chose a cotton voile peachy pink pleated bodice dress for her bridesmaids, which can easily be re-worn as a day dress after.

Here are some photos taken by the guys from 39 East:

22nd-Jul-2010 05:07 pm - Viki's Wedding in Scotland
yudoll
Viki is an expat who has been living in Singapore with her fiance for the past year or so. Her wedding was to be held in her hometown in Scotland, but naturally, out of convenience she decided to have her gown made in Singapore. Having found my studio through a bridal magazine, she came to me looking for a bridal gown, with specific instructions that the gown should not be heavily beaded nor too poufy as she did not want to look like a Disney princess, which cracked me up.

She decided on this hand tufted silk taffeta piece with a low V back which we both agreed would suit her garden wedding. Along with her gown, i also made 2 bridesmaids dresses for ladies I've never met before! Glad the measurements were good and the ladies fitted their dresses perfectly. Here are some pictures.

Happy couple, champagne and lots of love

I like the contrast of the gown against the garden backdrop

21st-Jul-2010 10:49 am - Joscelin & Gavin's Wedding
yudoll
Some brides-to-be come to me with looks they would like for their wedding, and together with them, I work on a new design from scratch with them, incorporating their personal style and adding on my two cents worth on what would look good and what won't. Joscelin was one of those brides who has a strong sense of style and knew what she wanted. I have to give her much credit for making interesting and different choices, such as colors used, and details she wanted on her gowns. The end result for her wedding definitely reflected her personality!

21st-Jul-2010 10:04 am - Emmeline & Sebastian in Santorini
yudoll
Here are some lovely pictures of Emmeline and Sebastian in Santorini (these lucky guys!) , taken by one of my favorite wedding photographers - Eng Hong of 39eastimages. Emmeline decided on a grecian inspired gown, to match the occasion and location of course. Something light enough to pack in her suitcase and easy to walk around in, as they had to travel to different locations quite a lot.

Some of my favorite shots here:

Jean wanted a bright evening gown to match her bubbly personality for her wedding photoshoot. She personally chose this ombre candy floss pink fabric, which we created into a cocktail dress design I had previously done, except in this case it was made long. Here are some shots of her and her hubby at their pre-wedding shoot. She told me she didn't quite like her hair, but I personally like the loose chignon and natural, matt make up.
